Bio of Ray Salerno

Scouting History:
Ramo Salerno has been a member of the BSA for 4 years as a youth in 1944 thru 1948 and achieved the rank of Star Scout. Ray became an Assistant Scoutmaster in the years of 1969 thru 1971. He has been a continuous member of the Boy Scouts of America since 1991. Mr. Salerno is a Detroit Area Council Century - Patron Donor -Guardian Member, Benefactor Member. Ray served as the Community Fund F.O.S. Chairman for the Michigami District, Detroit Area Council from 2000 thru 2003.
Personal:
Mr. Salerno has a son, a daughter and a granddaughter. His son achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. Ray's son is now an eye doctor. His daughter is an educator and his granddaughter is a musician at the age of 12. Mr. Salerno is a Manufacturing Engineer, owner of Salerno Tool Works for 44 years and still active.
Why A Century of Values:
As a youth, Scouting helped me to achieve what I have today, by practicing, to the best of my ability, the values of Scouting and to be able to teach those values to other youths in many ways from my experiences. To be able to say; Thank You B.S.A. for my start as a youth."
